This type 3 barricade is ideal for emergency, law, and critical infrastructure services or those who just want the best in time-saving equipment. The LaneGard is a one-time assembly barricade which means once assembled, it's always assembled! The LaneGard can be deployed in seconds and folds down to 3 inches flat for reduced transport and storage space. Available in multiple configurations, this do-it-all type 3 plastic road barricade will be the only type 3 you'll need. The LaneGard barricade is a one-piece design comprising two uprights, crossbar legs, and the Wave® centerboards with your reflectivity of choice. The barricade also features molded-in mounts that accept Type A or C warning lights.

Wave® Centerboards
The patented WAVE® centerboard is the superior choice and is available in 4, 6, and 8-foot lengths. Featuring a unique indented wave pattern on the back of the centerboard to help strengthen and increase rigidity. The board is a one-piece design and has closed ends to prevent dirt and moisture from penetrating.
The Wave Design:
- Strengthens and stiffens the centerboard.
- Reduces sagging and warping.
- Greatly improves rebound ability.
If you need longer board lengths of 10 or 12 feet, we recommend you check out the AnchorMast Barricade. Please note the centerboard in those lengths is manufactured using an extrusion method where the boards are made in one continual piece and then cut to size.
ENG - Engineer Grade Reflective Sheeting - GOOD
Meets ASTM D4956 Type 1 and is an enclosed film or lens using glass beads or prismatic optical technology.
HIP - High-Intensity Prismatic Sheeting - BETTER
Meets ASTM requirement standards for D4956-09 Type III and Type IV, as well as ASTM 4956-07 Type X. It is a non-metalized micro prismatic lens reflective sheeting. HIP sheeting is highly reflective, and its durable topcoat protects signs and other traffic control devices against scratches and abrasion. Not only is it highly reflective at night, but it also commands attention during the day as well.
DIA - Diamond Grade Reflective Sheeting - BEST
Meets ASTM Type XI standard. A full cube prismatic reflective sheeting that returns almost 60% of the available light to vehicle drivers which is about double what HIP reflective sheeting reflects. With pending legislation in the US, this material will likely be required to replace many existing signs. Currently, all new “critical” traffic control signs (such as Stop signs, speed limit signs, etc.) are required to utilize this sheeting.
Striping Direction & Sides
3M Retro-reflective sheeting can be applied on one side or both sides of the centerboards.

Left or Right Direction Boards (One-Way Turn)
Where barricades extend across a roadway, the stripes should slope downward in the direction toward which road users must turn.
Bi-Directional Boards - (Right and Left Turn or No Turn)
When providing both right and left turns, the barricade stripes should slope downward in both directions from the center of the barricade or barricades. Where no turns are intended, the stripes should be positioned to slope downward toward the center of the barricade or barricades.
